Conclusion:
The density of Vibrio spp., isolated on TCBS agar and expressed as colony-forming units (CFU/ml), was consistently lower in the control pond using ECO BLUE compared to the two ponds without ECO BLUE.
Under the same stocking density, pond size, and culture conditions, ECO BLUE demonstrated a stronger ability to suppress harmful bacteria in shrimp farming ponds
Conclusion:
The evaluation of water color from two farms, comprising a total of six whiteleg shrimp ponds using ECO BLUE probiotics, showed consistent results across all ponds.
All ponds developed a similar tea-brown water color and maintained a stable tea-brown condition throughout the culture period.
The tea-brown water color indicates healthy development of diatoms/silica algae, which serve as a natural food source for shrimp and help farmers reduce feed costs.
Conclusion:
The density of Vibrio spp., isolated on TCBS agar and expressed as CFU/ml, indicates that Farm 5, where ECO BLUE was applied every three days, showed higher levels of harmful Vibrio spp. compared to the farm applying probiotics continuously on a daily basis. However, the Vibrio levels in Farm 5 remained within a safe range for normal shrimp growth and development.
In Farm 12, the continuous daily application of ECO BLUE resulted in very low Vibrio density in the ponds, with the highest recorded level only reaching 110 CFU/ml.
Since the shrimp age between the two farms was nearly the same, the data are considered reliable for comparison, demonstrating that continuous use of ECO BLUE is more effective in suppressing harmful bacteria and maintaining a healthier pond environment.
